Pillows for Patriots Current Drives
Immediate Need For The Following Combat Units
These combat units have specifically requested pillows.
Here are some of the units we wish we could send pillows to, but have no funds:
300 pillows requested for two SCNG units, the 124th EN CO out of Saluda, and the 1223rd EN CO out of Summerville, leaving around the end of May.
150 Pillows requested for B-198th Signal Battalion, South Carolina National Guard prior to departure for Afghanistan
1000 Pillows for Army and Marine units: Fluor (DFAC); Food Service FOB Airborne deployed to Afghanistan from various bases all over the country

Ongoing Donations Needed For The Following
1) Soldier's Angels is a group that provides supplies for medical units / hospitals in combat zones in Afghanistan. There is an ongoing need for pillows for these units. We receive requests monthly and are always in need of funds to supply them with pillows:
A brand new TBI (traumatic brain injury) clinic is being set up in Afghanistan where soldiers who have suffered a concussion can stay and recover. The goal is to allow for recovery in country so the troops don't need to be evacuated all the way back to Germany. They have no bedding at all.
There are 3 Air Force CASF hospitals in Afghanistan, serving all our military. These hospitals medically treat the wounded, sick and injured. They receive about 550 patients per month.

2) Ongoing donation drive for marines at Camp Leatherneck, Afghanistan.
This is the major artery for Marine infantry units headed for forward operating bases / combat in Southern Afghanistan. There are 40,000 Marines in Afghanistan. Our pillows are given to the marines as they leave for outposts.
