Army Capt. Justin Daubert was headed for his 3rd tour of Duty in Iraq.
Marine Lt. Jonathan Bush was already at a forward operating base in Afghanistan.

As their moms, we realized that one of the simple needs of our sons and all their comrades in combat, was to have a small, compact pillow (not issued by the government) which could easily fit in his field pack, so during those rare moments of being able to rest, he would be able to truly have an “adrenaline break”.

With a plan of action and our goals shared by hometown friends, John and Patrick Harris of Harris Pillow Supply in Beaufort, SC, we came up with the idea of Pillows for Patriots. John and Patrick donated quality, durable pillows to the initial project, and agreed to manufacture future pillows at their cost.

These pillows are packable, cozy and washable. The pillows are a very much appreciated item, and this is just a small way that we can give back to our brave men and women in combat for their service.

We can distribute pillows to our combat troops already in Afghanistan and Iraq, or to units just being deployed. The most cost-effective method is to ship the pillows to the military bases in the US, JUST PRIOR TO DEPLOYMENT. Pillows are shipped in units of 25 per box. We cannot ship individual pillows.
